I walked up the door
I closed the stairs,
I took off my prayers
I said my shoes,
I turned off the bed
And climbed into the light,
All because he/she kissed me goodnight!

About "Sonbeam Corner"
The idea to create a public blog for adults AND children to enjoy, suddenly came to me one night. My wish is to provide a small corner of happiness and hope to all who find their way here. I'm a married Christian homemaker in my 50's desiring to spread some Light into the world through blogging.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin',"
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say.. "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

I remember this as a song (probably first heard it in the late 1960s/early 1970s at camp)...
Climbed up my door
And opened up my stairs
Said my pajamas
And jumped into my prayers
Turned off my bed
And jumped into my light
All because he kissed me
