About "Sonbeam Corner"
The idea to create a public blog for adults AND children to enjoy, suddenly came to me one night. My wish is to provide a small corner of happiness and hope to all who find their way here. I'm a married Christian homemaker in my 50's desiring to spread some Light into the world through blogging.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin',"
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say.. "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

I still feel the sting of pain.

So I call upon His name.

I have one Rhododendron that just wasn't happy where I'd planted it. I ended up calling it my Charlie-Brown Rhododendron because it looked like Charlie-Brown's Christmas tree (sparse, spindly and all those other 's' words that describe 'sorry-looking').
I moved it this year to a more shady location that gets more water - and it's starting to thrive! It bloomed the same color as the one you are sharing - and yep... I've even seen a few bumble bees on mine too!
